Jeff Roth is a Wealth Strategies Estate Planning Attorney in private practice with the Law Offices of Roth and Bacon. He joined the firm following in his father’s footsteps in 1973.
Mr. Roth received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from The University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida in 1969. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from Capital University School of Law in Columbus, Ohio in 1972. He completed special courses focusing in the area of Trusts at the University of Notre Dame Summer Law Program, London England. He taught real estate law though the Marion campus of the Ohio State University. Mr. Roth is admitted to the practice of law in both Ohio and Florida and divides his time between the two states.
Other than Advanced Wealth Strategies Planning, Estate Planning, Probate and Tax Law, Mr. Roth also handles Real Estate Transactions, Business Entities Planning, Business Buy-Outs and Sell-outs, Charitable Estate Planning, Living Trusts, Family Limited Partnership and LLC Creation and Design and Asset Protection Estate Planning.
A specific area of concentration includes the assistance of updating and assisting individuals with the transfer of residency to the State of Florida and the requisite modification of documents to comply with the laws of that state. With increasing Federal Exemptions, Mr. Roth reviews all documents and may recommend the undoing and simplification of prior trusts and estate plans. Areas of special interest include generation-skipping transfers, Dynasty Trusts, Charitable planning and Disability Planning.
He was a contributing columnist for the North Coast Business Journal. He was a guest lecturer and chaired a two day presentation for Attorneys in the State of South Carolina on Post Mortem Administration.
Mr. Roth has co-authored two books written for the professional and the public. They are LEGACY, Plan, Protect and Preserve Your Estate and GENERATIONS- Planning Your Legacy. He is a current member of Wealth Counsel Group, a national organization of Estate Planning Attorneys and the Florida Chapter of the NAELA, The National Association of Elder Law Attorneys.
Mr. Roth was married to his wife Joy for many years before her passing. The two share two married children both living in Atlanta, Georgia.
