Jeff Roth

Partner

Jeff Roth is a Wealth Strategies Estate Planning Attorney in private practice with the Law Offices of Roth and Bacon. He joined the firm following in his father’s footsteps in 1973.
Mr. Roth received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from The University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida in 1969. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from Capital University School of Law in Columbus, Ohio in 1972. He completed special courses focusing in the area of Trusts at the University of Notre Dame Summer Law Program, London England. He taught real estate law though the Marion campus of the Ohio State University. Mr. Roth is admitted to the practice of law in both Ohio and Florida and divides his time between the two states.

Other than Advanced Wealth Strategies Planning, Estate Planning, Probate and Tax Law, Mr. Roth also handles Real Estate Transactions, Business Entities Planning, Business Buy-Outs and Sell-outs, Charitable Estate Planning, Living Trusts, Family Limited Partnership and LLC Creation and Design and Asset Protection Estate Planning.

A specific area of concentration includes the assistance of updating and assisting individuals with the transfer of residency to the State of Florida and the requisite modification of documents to comply with the laws of that state. With increasing Federal Exemptions, Mr. Roth reviews all documents and may recommend the undoing and simplification of prior trusts and estate plans. Areas of special interest include generation-skipping transfers, Dynasty Trusts, Charitable planning and Disability Planning.

He was a contributing columnist for the North Coast Business Journal. He was a guest lecturer and chaired a two day presentation for Attorneys in the State of South Carolina on Post Mortem Administration.

Mr. Roth has co-authored two books written for the professional and the public. They are LEGACY, Plan, Protect and Preserve Your Estate and GENERATIONS- Planning Your Legacy. He is a current member of Wealth Counsel Group, a national organization of Estate Planning Attorneys and the Florida Chapter of the NAELA, The National Association of Elder Law Attorneys.

Mr. Roth was married to his wife Joy for many years before her passing. The two share two married children both living in Atlanta, Georgia.

David Bacon

David F. Bacon is a partner with the law firm of Roth & Bacon Attorneys, concentrating in estate, probate, trust, business association planning, taxation and related areas. Mr. Bacon is an Ohio State Bar Association Board Certified Specialist in the areas of Estate, Trust and Probate Planning. Mr. Bacon graduated from Denison University as an undergraduate in 1974 and subsequently received his Juris Doctor from Capital University and has been practicing law in Ohio since 1977.

Mr. Bacon is a member of Wealth Counsel which is a national organization of estate planning attorneys sharing useful information and taxation and business strategies in the estate planning field. Mr. Bacon has written an estate and business planning newspaper column for the Daily Chief Union newspaper for many years and lectures to many groups on related areas and techniques in estate and business planning. As a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, Mr. Bacon was a contributing author to two books on Estate Planning; LEGACY, Plan Protect and Preserve Your Estate, and GENERATIONS, Planning Your Legacy.

Mr. Bacon served as an eleven year member and then President of the Board of Trustees of the Ohio State University, Marion Campus and served as a ten year member and President of The Board of Trustees of the Palace Theater in Marion, Ohio. Mr. Bacon is a Director of the First National Bank of Sycamore, Ohio. He is an Elder, Sunday School Superintendent and Choir Director for the First Presbyterian Church in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Mr. Bacon recently took and passed the Florida Bar Exam. Mr. Bacon is now permitted to practice law in Florida in addition to his Ohio practice of law.

Mr. Bacon is married, has four grown children, and lives in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. His firm has offices in Upper Sandusky, Marion and Port Clinton, Ohio and Fort Myers, Florida.

Jessica Moon

Jessica B. Moon is Partner with the law firm of Roth Bacon Moon Attorneys, concentrating in estate, probate, trust, business association planning, commercial and residential real estate matters, taxation and related areas. Ms. Moon graduated from Ohio University as an undergraduate in 2004 and subsequently received her Juris Doctor from Capital University and has been practicing law in Ohio since 2008 and in Florida since 2011.

Ms. Moon formerly worked as a Prosecutor with the City of Columbus. Ms. Moon also enjoyed collaborating with law enforcement not only from the City of Columbus, but also within the surrounding municipalities.

Ms. Moon is married to Gregory Moon and they have two children: Henry and Charlotte. They live in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Ms. Moon’s firm has offices in Upper Sandusky, Marion and Port Clinton, Ohio and Fort Myers, Florida.

Ms. Moon is a member of: The First Presbyterian Church of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; Rotary Club; the Ohio Bar Association; Wyandot County Young Professionals; Wyandot County Chamber of Commerce; and Wyandot County Economic Development.

Hunter Dickson

Hunter J. Dickson is an associate with the law firm Roth, Bacon, Moon Attorneys, concentrating in but not limited to estates, trusts, probate, taxation, business association planning, and commercial and residential real property matters. Mr. Dickson graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and major of Accounting. Mr. Dickson is on track to earn both his Juris Doctor degree and Tax Law certificate from Ohio Northern University's Pettit College of Law in May of 2025; furthermore, Mr. Dickson is hopeful to be sworn in as an attorney to practice law in the State of Ohio in October, 2025.

Mr. Dickson formerly interned with Community Legal Aid Services of Youngstown, Ohio. Moreover, Mr. Dickson was an intern of Roth, Bacon, Moon Attorneys during his off-seasons in law school. Mr. Dickson also has experience as a volunteer income tax assistance preparer (VITA).

As a born and raised Ohioan, Mr. Dickson considers Wyandot county and the surrounding municipalities his home. Mr. Dickson can often be found reading American literature or on the court as an avid tennis player.

Mr. Dickson is a member of Gateway Church in Findlay, Ohio, the Ohio Bar Association, the National Italian-American Bar Association, and a friend of the Rotary Club in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Mr. Dickson is the former president of ONU's Christian Legal Society and YSU's Beta Alpha Psi organization for accounting and finance.
